其复数形式为 animals。animal 的发音以元音音素 / / 开头，其前不定冠词应用 an。
2. When should they be back
back
① [副词] 回原处；向后；控制住。
back 没有比较级和最高级。
② [名词] 背部；后面；后部
③ [形容词] 后面的
常见短语：
get back 取回；返回 give back 归还
take back 收回 think back 回想
come back 回来 look back 回顾
talk back 回嘴 hold back 控制住
3. Wolves take good care of their babies.
take care of 照顾；照料；处理
相当于 look after。take good care of···表示“好好照顾/料理···”，相当于 look after···well.
[注意]“Take care!”一般用在和别人告别时对他人的祝福，表示“保重!”

[拓展] care 的相关词汇：
careful [形容词] 仔细的；小心的

favourite
① [形容词] 最喜欢的，最喜爱的
通常作定语，没有比较级和最高级形式，在含义上相当于 like···best。
② [可数名词] 最喜欢的人 (或物)

because [连词] 因为
引导原因状语从句，用于说明原因或理由，常用于回答 why 引导的特殊疑问句。
5. Because they′re clever and funny.
[注意] because 与 so 不能同时用于一个句子。因为他病了，所以他没去上学。
[辨析] because 与 because of
because 意为“因为”，是连词，其后接句子
because of 意为“因为”，是短语介词，其后接名词、代词或动词 -ing 形式

funny [形容词] 滑稽的，有趣的；奇怪的
[拓展] fun [名词] 娱乐，乐趣
可用 much、lots of、a lot of 等修饰。
常见短语：
have fun 玩得开心
have fun doing sth. 做某事有乐趣
