everything / evriθ / [不定代词] 每件事,一切
everything 为复合不定代词,作主语时,谓语动词应用单数形式。
Eg. Everything goes well.一切进展顺利。

lend /lend/ [及物动词] 借给;借出
lend 的过去式为 lent,后常跟双宾语。
常见短语:lend sb. sth. = lend sth.to sb. 借给某人某物
Eg. Can you lend me your dictionary

I lent the car to a friend. 我把车借给了一位朋友。
[辨析] lend,borrow 与 keep
lend “借给;借出”,表示“借给某人某物”用 lend sth. to sb./lend sb. sth.
borrow “借入,借进”,表示“向某人借某物”用 borrow sth. from sb.
keep “借用,留着,保存”,指借用某物一段时间,可以和表示一段时间的状语连用

其肯定回答为“Yes,I′d love to.是的,我愿意。”;

of course 当然
通常在对话中用作答语,与 certainly 意思相近,表示肯定的语气。有时与 not 连用,of course not 意为“当然不”。

不可用在名词前作定语。
② [感叹词] 对不起,很抱歉

excuse me 多用于麻烦、打扰别人或有求于人时 一般用于事前

answer the phone / door 接电话 / 应门

turn off 关掉 (水、电或煤气)
turn off 是“动词+副词”型短语,若接名词作宾语,名词放在 tum 和 off 中间或 off 后面都可以;若接代词作宾语,代词只能放在 turn 和off 中间。反义短语为 turn on,意为“打开 (水、电或煤气)”。

another 通常修饰可数名词单数。
Eg. They′re singing in another classroom.

[辨析] another,other,others,the other 与 the others
another 限定词或代词,泛指三者或三者以上中的“另一个(人或物)”
other 形容词或代词,“另外,其他”,表泛指。常修饰或指代可数名词复数
others 代词,“其他的人或物”,表示泛指,是 other 的复数形式,其后不接名词
the other 指两者中的“另 个(人或物)”,常用于one... the other...结构,意为“一个······另一个······”
the others 特指某一范围内的“其余全部的人或物”,其后不接名词

Thanks for...为······而感谢。
也可用“Thank you for···”来替换,for 为介词,后接名词、代词或动词 -ing 形式。
[拓展] thanks to 由于,多亏
to 后跟某人或某物,相当于 with the help of 或 because of.
Eg. Thanks to my teacher,I got great grades.
多亏我的老师,我取得了好成绩。

tell [及物动词] 告诉。过去式为 told。
常见短语:tell sb. about sth. 告诉某人关于某事的内容
tell sb. sth. =tell sth. to sb. 告诉某人某事

should [情态动词] 应该;应当
“should+动词原形”表示“应该做某事”,其中 should 无人称、数和时态的变化,也不能单独作谓语,只能和其后的动词原形起构成谓语,表示说话人的语气和态度。should 的否定形式为 should not,缩写为 shouldn′t。
