[辨析] fit，suit 与 match
fit 通常指尺寸、大小、形状等方面的合适，强调合身
suit 通常指颜色、款式等方面合适，也可以表示口味、品味、能力等方面适合
match 通常指两个物体在大小、色调、款式等方面的相配和协调

hers /h z； z/ [代词] 她的 (所有物)
名词性物主代词是在物体已经指出的情况下用来代替已知物体的物主代词，即指代属于某人的东西。它相当于“形容词性物主代词＋名词”。通常在句中作表语、主语或宾语。Hers 指代属于“她”的东西。
This book is hers. 这本书是她的。(作表语)
Hers is the red car. 她的是那辆红色的车。(作主语)
I will give hers to her. 我会把她的给她。(作宾语)
[注意] 在某些情况下，名词性物主代词可以与 of 结构 起使用，构成双重所有格。

maybe / me bi/ [副词] 也许；大概
Maybe he is a teacher. 也许他是个老师。
[辨析] maybe 与 may be
maybe 副词，意为“也许；大概” 用于非正式场合，它通常放在句子的开头，在句子中作状语
may be 作谓语，“可能是，大概是” 由“情态动词 may＋动词原形 be”构成

通常放在连系动词 be、情态动词及助动词之后，实义动词之前，表示否定意义。
I seldom write a letter. 我很少写信。

[注意] seldom 表示否定含义，故在含有 seldom 的反意疑问句中，附加疑问部分要用肯定形式。

常见短语：mixed doubles 混合双打

[辨析] sometime，sometimes，some time 与 some times
sometime “在某时”，既可以表示将来，又可以表示过去
sometimes “有时，间或”，和 at times 同义
some time “一段时间，一些时间”，time 作不可数名词，意为“时间”
some times “几次，几回”，time 作可数名词，意为“次，回”

jog /d g/ [动词] 慢跑。
jog 的动词 -ing 形式是 jogging。
常见短语：go jogging 去慢跑

a few 少数；几个
few 为形容词，意为“很少的；几乎没有的”，只能与可数名词搭配，表否定含义。

常用于“Excuse me.”，意为“劳驾，请原谅，对不起”。
excuse sb. for (doing) sth. 原谅某人 (做了) 某事
