Unit 1 How to be a good learner

There are three good ways to learn English. One way is being interested in what you are doing. If you are interested in something, your brain will be more active and you will be more focused. If you like music, I think you should listen to English songs. If you do this, you will be able to improve your pronunciation. It is also a good idea to read English books because well-written books can teach you many new words and how they are used. You could try to improve your English by watching English movies. This will help you to improve your listening and speaking skills as you will have a chance to listen to native speech.

Unit 2 My favorite festival
Dear Eliza,
How's it going My favorite Chinese festival is the Mid-Autumn Festival. It is one of the most important traditional festivals in China . It falls on the fifteenth day of the eighth lunar month every year. During this festival people usually go back home to get together and have a big dinner with their family. At night, they admire the full moon and share mooncakes with their family.
It’s my favorite festival because the full moon is a symbol of reunion and good luck. It makes me feel very happy to be with my family !

Unit 4 How I’ve Changed!
How time flies! My life has changed a lot in the last few years. I used to be short, but now I’m one of the tallest students in my class. I used to be shy and quiet, but now I’m outgoing and I like to make friends. I used to hate reading, but now I have fallen in love with it.
The most important change in my life was becoming interested in reading. Last summer my best friend gave me an interesting book to read. I enjoyed it so much that I started to read other books. It was the most important change because reading gives me a lot of knowledge and makes me very happy. As a famous saying goes, “Reading makes a full man”.
