Danny: Look at this yellow star, Brian and Jenny! Isn't it beautiful I'm going to hang it from the ceiling over the desk.
Brian: Here is the tape. I'II get the ladder for you.
Danny: I don't need a ladder. l think I'm tall enough.
Danny can't reach the ceiling, so he climbs onto Mr Green's chair.
Danny: Almost... Almost.. Aaaaaaahhhh!
Danny falls.
Mr Green: What was that noise !

Mr Green: Danny, are you okay Are you hurt
Danny: Hmm... My tail is a little sore, but it's not serious.
Then, they hear Brian cry for help, but his voice is very weak.
Mr Green: Brian Where are you Brian: Help me, sir! I'm under Danny! Danny: Oh no! I'm really sorry! Are you okay, Brian
Brian: No, I'm opposite of okay. I tried to catch you, but you landed on top of me. My arm hurts.
Jenny: Should I call an ambulance
Brian: No, that's not necessary. I don't think my arm is broken.
Mr Green: Jenny, please call Brian's mother. Tell her we are taking Brian to the hospital. He should get an X-ray just in case.

2. I’m going to hang it from the ceiling over the desk.
我要把它挂到桌子上面的天花板上。
(1) v.悬挂; 垂下 hang-hung-hung 绞死hang-hanged-hanged
e.g. I hung this picture on the wall yesterday.
(2) hang up 挂起来
e.g. I have washed these clothes. Please hang them up.
(3) hang out 闲逛；闲荡
e.g. He often hangs out with his parents on weekends.
他经常在周末和父母闲逛。
3. Danny can’t reach the ceiling, so he climbs onto Mr. Green’s chair.丹尼够不到天花板，所以他爬上了格林老师的椅子。
reach在本句中的意思是“伸手(或臂、足等) 及到；够到”。
e.g. The book is too high on the shelf. I can’t reach it.
那本书放在书架上很高的地方，我够不到。
4. He sees Danny lying on the floor.
他看见丹尼躺在地板上。
lie (1) v. 躺；平躺 lie - lay - lain 现在分词 lying
e.g. He lay on the grass just now.
他刚才躺在草地上。
There is a dog lying on the floor.
地板上正躺着一条狗。
(3) n. 谎话；谎言 tell a lie/tell lies 说谎
(2) v. 说谎 lie - lied - lied 现在分词lying
e.g. We shouldn’t tell lies to our parents.
e.g. I can’t believe she lied to me yesterday.
The boy is lying! Don’t believe in him.
扩充：lay v. 放置；产(卵) lay-laid-laid 现在分词laying
e.g. Lay it on the table. 把它放在桌上。
The hen laid three eggs yesterday. 母鸡下了三个蛋。
5. My tail is a little sore, but it's not serious.
我的尾巴有点痛，但是不严重。
serious adj. 严重的，严肃的 seriously adv.
e.g. ①He has serious lung problems because he smokes a lot.
②—I’m afraid of your father.
—He just looks serious. In fact, he is very friendly.
③ Smoking can seriously damage your health.
6. No, that is not necessary. 不，那是没有必要的。
necessary adj. 必需的 unnecessary adj. 不必要的
It is necessary for sb. to do sth. 对某人来说做某事是有必要的。
e.g. It is necessary for everyone to brush the teeth every day.
对于每个人来说，每天刷牙很有必要。
It is necessary for us to do sports.
对我们来说做运动有必要的。
7. I don’t think my arm is broken. 我想我的胳膊并没有折。
当主句谓语动词是think, believe, suppose, expect等动词，若后面含有not，not要转移到前面的主句，但翻译时要把否定翻译到后面从句中这种形式叫否定转移。
e.g. I don’t believe he will come. 我相信他不会来。
I don’t think I know you. 我想我并不认识你。
