Safety tips in the kitchen
● Be careful with fire and boiling water when you cook.
● Have fire blankets, fire extinguishers, smoke alarms,
and flashlights near the kitchen.
● Always turn off the oven or stove after use. In case
of a gas leak, do not use a cell phone or any electric
item. Immediately turn off the stove and quickly open
a window. Move to a safe area to inform emergency
services and the gas company.

Safety tips in the bathroom
● Never use electricity in the shower or bathtub. It can
shock you!
● Be sure to keep the bathroom floor dry after you
take a shower or bath. It’s easy to slip and fall on a wet
floor.
● Turn on the cold water first when taking a bath.
Then adjust the hot water to ensure a safe water
temperature. Hot water can burn you.
Home safety focuses on preventing accidents and
reacting well to dangers in order to protect the safety of the family.

2. Be careful with fire and boiling water when you cook.
be careful with 小心;谨慎
careful adj. 小心的,仔细的 carefully adv. 仔细地
careless adj.粗心的 carelessly adv.粗心地
e.g. He is usually careful with what he wants to say.
他通常说话很谨慎。
In the kitchen, it is important to be careful. We should use the cooker carefully and never be careless with electricity.
祈使句表示命令、请求、建议或劝告等, 通常省略主语,谓语动词用原形,句末用感叹号或句号。
祈使句肯定结构:
① Do 型 e.g. Stand up, please.
② Be 型 e.g. Be quiet, please.
③ Let 型 e.g. Let me help you.
否定形式:
① Don’t +动词原形 e.g. Don’t open the window.
② Never+动词原形 e.g. Never give up!
③ No+名词/动名词 e.g. No Smoking!
④ Let +宾语+not+动原+其他 e.g. Let him not play.

5. It’s easy to slip and fall on a wet floor.
在潮湿的地板上很容易滑倒和摔跤。
不定式作主语时,往往用it作形式主语,而将不定式放在后面。这句话中的主语是to slip and fall on a wet floor, it是形式主语,is是系词,easy是表语。
e.g. To hear your voice is so nice.= It is nice to hear your voice. 听到你的声音真高兴。

6. Never leave small children alone in a bathtub.
