Chinese eating habits are different from those in Western countries. In the west, everyone has their own 21 of food. But in China the dishes are 22 on the table and everyone shares. If you are being treated by a Chinese host, there must be 23 food prepared for you. Chinese are very 24 of their culture and will do their best to show their hospitality(好客).
And sometimes the Chinese hosts use their 25 to put food in your bowl or plate. This is a sign of politeness. The proper thing to do would be to eat the whatever-it-is and say how 26 it is. If you feel un-comfortable with this, you can just say“thanks”and leave the food there. Don't 27 your chopsticks up-right into the rice bowl. Instead, lay them on your dish. The reason for this is that when somebody 28 ,the shrine(圣殿)to him has a bowl of sand or rice with two chopsticks which are stuck upright in it. It is impolite to set the teapot down where the spout(壶嘴)is facing 29 somebody. The spout should always be directed to where nobody is siting, usually just out-ward from the table.
Don't hit your bowl with your chopsticks. Beggars hit their bowls,so this is not polite. Also, when the food is coming too 30 in a restaurant, maybe some people will tap their bowls. If you are in someone's home,it is like offending the cook.

三、阅读理解(每小题2分,共40分)

In the USA,it is normal for men to shake hands when they meet, but it is quite unusual for men to kiss when they greet each other. Greetings are casual—a handshake,a smile and a“hello”will do just fine.
The British often simply say“hello”when they meet friends. They usually shake hands only when they meet for the first time. Social kissing, often just a peck(轻吻)on the cheek(脸颊),is common in an informal(非正式的)situation between men and women and also between women who know each other very well.
In Japan, the common greeting for both men and women is to bow when they greet someone, instead of giving a handshake or a hug.
Hungarians like to greet in a friendly way—kiss each other on both cheeks. The most common way is to kiss from your right to your left. When men meet for the first time,a handshake is the norm.
In Albania, men shake hands when greeting one another. A kiss on the cheek may also be common if there is a close relationship. Women may shake hands or kiss each other on both cheeks.
In Armenia,by tradition,a woman needs to wait for a man to offer his hand for a handshake. Between good friends and family members,a kiss on the cheek and a hug are also common.

Clothing is a language. It tells us about individuals: their personality, age, place in society and so on. If we want to know more about society,we can look at traditional clothing.
The continent of Africa has a long history and a rich culture, and this is shown in traditional dress. You often find three colors-red,gold and green in the clothing. The first color stands for the blood of millions of people who suffered as slaves(奴隶). The second is for the rich resources of the African earth, and the third represents the grasslands of home.
The patterns on the clothing also have a meaning. A common pattern is in the form of a cross“×”,which stands for“unity”. Another pattern is a rectangular(矩形)box, which represents“strength”.
Because clothing has a strong social meaning, people are very careful in choosing what to wear. It would be a serious mistake to wear the wrong clothing,or to wear clothes in the wrong way. For instance,in Ghana,a woman should wear her waistband differently according to the importance of the social event.
Traditional dress also tells us about everyday life. African designs are famous for loose(宽松的)clothing. The climate, with the hot sun and wide temperature ranges(变化),requires that the clothes should be comfortable for daily life.
Although many people wear Western clothes, particularly in the big cities in Africa, traditional dress is very highly valued(评价). This is because it has deep cultural meanings.

It seems that school children all over the world complain (抱怨) about their school food. What do students of your age eat for lunch at school in other countries?
Japan
High schools have dining rooms. They serve everything from noodles to rice, but not burgers or chips. Other children bring food from home, such as cold rice balls , meat or fish, pickles(泡菜)and vegetables. Twice a year parents are invited to have a taste of the food.
The United States
A typical menu from an American school is made up of a hamburger with fried potatoes or roast chicken, lettuce and pickles , fruit and cookies. School lunches must also provide at least one third of the daily amount(总量)of necessary nutrition(营养) , such as vitamin A, vitamin C and calcium (钙).
Australia
Meat pies , sausage rolls (香肠卷) and hot dogs are all traditional dishes in Australian school shops. But as the country pays more attention to children's health, healthier foods have started to appear on school menus. Many schools have used a traffic light system. The sale of red labeled (标注)foods, including cookies, chocolate and soft drinks, is served only twice a week. Healthier green labeled foods such as sushi, sandwiches , corn and watermelons, however, are available every day.
South Africa
Most of South African schools do not serve meals at all. Classes end at 1:30 p. m. and students get their own lunches. Many students bring food from home, usually sandwiches.
Fast food and fried food sell the best among students. As a result, it has caused a rise in obesity (肥胖)among children. But as more people begin to realize that being too fat may cause different kinds of serious illeses , some schools in towns have led the way towards better nutrition. Now students at these schools are offered lunches of porridge with vegetables, such as cabbage, onions , beans, carrots and tomatoes.
